The Doctor is In!
Any students interested in joining a spring sports team, please remember you need a current physical and parental consent form. If you need a physical, you are in luck! The doctor will be available to give any interested students a free physical on WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 1 from 3:00-5:00 at Park East High School. In order to get your physical, you must come with BOTH forms (physical AND consent) signed by your parent. If you do not have these signatures, the doctor will not see you. See your athletic directors for proper forms if you are interested.

Congrats to Our Scholar Athletes
A big congratulations are in order for seniors Edwin Prado (Heritage) and Steven Byas (Coalition School for Social Change). These two student-athletes were selected as two of 55 student-athletes in all five boroughs (2 out of 11 in Manahattan!!) to be New Era Pinstripe Bowl MVP Scholar Athletes. The awards will be presented to these young men Tuesday, December 20 at the Legends Club at Yankee stadium. With so many outstanding athletes in the city of New York, it is quite an accomplishment for both boys who were members of the bowling team and are also currently participating in wrestling (Edwin) and basketball (Steven). Well done boys.

7th in the City!
Congratulations to Boranda Diaz who placed 7th at the New York City Individual Bowling Championships. Boranda was the high scorer on the bowling team this season with an average of 134. She placed 4th in the borough individual championships on Monday November 7 which earned her a spot at the city championships on November 10. It was there that Boranda bowled her way to 7th in the city. This is quite an accomplishment for the sophomore out of Central Park East High School. Congrats again Boranda!
Where can I get a physical?
For all sports teams, student-athletes must have a parental consent signed (for each sport they play) as well as a physical. Good neighborhood places to schedule an appointment for a physical are below. Call and make your appointment ASAP if you want/need a physical. Make sure and use the PSAL physical form that you can get from your coach or Athletic Director.
